Flow of egg donation: Egg donation / Egg donation + PGS
Things to do in advance in your home country
[1] Find a backup clinic It is necessary to find a clinic/doctor who has an understanding in egg donation.
[2] Inspections The following is the general flow. However, please contact us first if you consider to take treatment at our clinic because the inspections are different in each person. After our doctor see your condition and past treatment, we tell you what you need to take for inspection and the flow. If you have reports of past test result, please email them to us. (The last 3 months is preferable)
◉ Blood test results for both husband and wife: HIV, Syphilis, CBC, ABO(RH) are required. *Please also send semen test result.
◉ Ultrasonography: Check the thickness of the endometrium during ovulation. *It's not to all people and depends on the current menopause status.
◉ Hysteroscopy: Check the state of the uterus.
◉ Hysterotubography: Check if there is tubal edema. *It's not to all people and depends on the past treatment and pregnancy history.
[3] Acquisition of family register & marriage certificate First, obtain a certified copy of the family register. After that, you go to Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office and get marriage certificate. It may have different process in different offices. <Japan> https://www.dashin.jp/procedure
1st visit
Both husband and wife must come to our clinic.
If you take hysteroscopy at our clinic, it requires two days in total. *You will complete all the process in one day if you don't need to take hysteroscopy.
Belongings:
Passport, marriage certificate issued at Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in your country, seal, health insurance card
Between 1st and 2nd visits; It usually takes about 3 months between 1st and 2nd visits to match with donors and culture embryo.
-Our clinic conducts a donor matching and report the result to the customer.
-Our clinic collects donor's egg, and then conduct in vitro fertilization with the husband's sperm.
-Our clinic report the number and grade of blastocysts to the customer, and decide the approximate timing of transplant.
*If you request to take PGS/PGD, we collect some cells from blastocysts and use them for inspection and analysis.
2nd visit - Pattern A
You can choose from 2 patterns for endometrial examination. One is at our clinic, and the other is at the backup clinic in your country.
*We may designate Pattern A depending on your physical condition.

[Before 2nd visit]
Step 1) Day 3 from the start of menstruation: You start taking the endometrial hormone pills which we give to you at 1st visit.
[2nd visit]
Step 2) Day 10-12 after taking hormone pills; You visit our clinic and check the endometrial thickness by ultrasonography and the hormone level by blood test.
Step 3) We prescribe progesterone from our clinic according to the condition of the endometrium.
Step 4) You take progesterone for 4-7 days, and transplant the embryo. *We will instruct you when you start taking the pills according to the planned date of transplantation.
Step 5) Transplantation can be completed in about 10 minutes, and you rest for a couple of hours in a private room. You can leave for home on the day or the next day.
<Advantage> Our doctor conduct the inspection by themselves and it makes possible to judge most accurately. Also, we prescribe progesterone which match to your endometrial condition the most.
<Disadvantage> If the endometrium is not sufficiently grown as a result of inspection, you may not be able to proceed to the next step of transplantation. In that case, you go home without transplanting.
2nd visit - Pattern B
[Before the 2nd visit]
Step 1) Day 3 from the start of menstruation: Start taking the endometrial hormone pills received at the 1st visit.
Step 2) Day 10-12 after taking hormone pills; You visit backup clinic and check the endometrial thickness by ultrasonography and the hormone level by blood test (E2 and P4). Please send the data immediately after you get.
Step 3) Based on the test result, we will judge if you can proceed to transplantation in this menstruation cycle. *If it's difficult to transplant in this cycle, it will be postponed to the next cycle.
Step 4) We determine the scheduled date of transplantation and inform you of the start date for taking progesterone received at the 1st visit. * We will instruct you to start taking the medicine according to the planned date of transplantation.
Step 5) You arrange for air tickets so that you can arrive in Taiwan a day before transplantation.
[2nd visit]
Step 6) You take progesterone for 4-7 days. Our clinic conduct medical examination on the day of transplantation.
Step 7) Transplantation can be completed in about 10 minutes, and you rest for a couple of hours in a private room. You can leave for home on the day or the next day.
<Advantage> Since the endometrium is confirmed at a backup clinic in your country, there is no need to visit the clinic if we find it's difficult to transplant in this cycle. * Even if the backup clinic determines that transplantation is possible, we don't 100% guarantee that you can take transplantation. (The reason is described in disadvantage)
<Disadvantage> Our doctor judge from test result of backup clinic, and it's sometimes difficult to have accurate judgement because our doctor cannot check directly.
